Considering the cold and damp conditions we were pleasantly surprised by the turnout for the first Yorkshire Breakfast Meet of the year. Thank you to everyone who attended. There were 12 Guzzis, 1 Buell and 1 Triumph.

Steve brought his 2024 V100 Stelvio to the meet. This was the first new Stelvio we’d seen on the road. Steve took delivery on the 1st March and has already covered 1,000 miles. Not happy with the rather drab matt standard colour scheme he asked a friend to repaint the bodywork with a tasteful gloss silver and burgundy finish. The result is very striking.

Wonderful mix of Moto Guzzi models. Fantastic colors on most all. Even a V9 Roamer, awesome!

Thanks Chris, that’s great news.
Now I’m back on the road.
My mandello is now repaired….. coolant leak, factory hadn’t tightened up clip on one of the hoses…. I’d ridden 2300 miles then it leaked 😱
Dave on the red one 😁😁

Thanks to everyone who attended the second Breakfast Meet of the year. There were 12 Guzzis and 1 Indian.

Models ranged from a new 2024 V100 Stelvio PFF to a 45-year-old V1000 G5.

The PFF Rider Assistance package utilises 4D Imaging Radar technology to enable several safety-related features, including Following Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Information System, and Lane Change Assist. We were given a brief demonstration of this technology. It’s an impressive bit of kit. We thought the amber light that illuminates in each mirror when a vehicle has unknowingly crept into your blind spot would prove especially useful. Any feature that enhances rider safety must be a good thing.

Looking back at previous Breakfast Meets we don’t appear to have had a V1000 G5 attend before. Moto Guzzi introduced the 949cc 61 bhp V1000 G5 in 1979. Based on the V1000 Convert, which was equipped with a three-speed semi-automatic transmission, the G5 has a conventional 5-speed gearbox.

Production of the V1000 G5 ran from 1979 until 1985 with 3,857 units produced in total. Approximately 3,000 of these were thought to be military versions.

Speaking of Guzzi Gatherings, Central Virginia Guzzisti gather on the Third Saturday of every month for lunch at a restaurant we choose somewhere, usually Italian.

Been doing it since 2002, and only missed a couple of times for deep snow or disaster. Always a nice ride and sociable time.

Let me know if you'd like to be on the notification Email list ....

Thanks to everyone who attended the third Breakfast Meet of the year. There were 15 Guzzis, 1 Buell, 1 BMW and 1 Suzuki.

Jon’s beautiful Daytona RS was the star of the meet. He’s owned it for 7 years and it shows 31,000 km (19,000 miles) Built by Mike Russell for Three Cross Raceco it is indeed a rare and special machine. A total of 308 Daytona RS models were manufactured by Moto Guzzi, 113 in 1996 and 195 in 1997. As of Q4 2023 the DVLA database showed a total of 22 Daytona RS either taxed or on SORN in the United Kingdom.

Also at Seaways Café was a customised 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster Sedan Delivery. Introduced for the 1946 model year the Stylemaster was Chevrolet's entry level offering after the end of WW2 and was available as a two or four door sedan, coupe, or sedan delivery.

Drive for these cars came from a 3.5 litre inline six engine coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission sending drive to the rear wheels. The Stylemaster was produced until 1948, when it was replaced by the Chevrolet Special.

Thanks to everyone who attended the fourth Breakfast Meet of the year. There were 20 Guzzis, 1 Buell, 1 Indian, 1 Ducati and 1 Laverda.

As usual there was a great selection of old and new models. Steve arrived on his brand new 2024 E5+ V85TT. He had collected it the previous day from Teasdale Motorcycles in Thirsk. Steve has owned an earlier version of the V85TT and reports that the new updated E5+ engine with variable valve timing feels so much better.

Simon’s Ghezzi-Brian Sport Monza made a welcome return appearance. A fascinating machine to drool over, it weighs 53kg less than the donor bike which was a 1997 1100 Sport that had clocked up 65,000-miles. All fasteners are titanium, and the wheel spindles are also made of titanium. The exhaust system is a one-off handmade unit.

Paul’s Buell 1125R looked and sounded as good as ever.

Together with her husband who was riding a beautiful Ducati Desmo, Jane arrived on her Le Mans 1000 Mark V. It looked in excellent condition for its age. A total of 2,113 Le Mans MK V were made during 1988/89.

Vic, who we’d met the previous weekend at the Laverda 75th Anniversary event in Willersey, travelled down from North Yorkshire to the meet. He had read about the event on this website and decided to surprise us with a visit. Vic’s stunning Jota certainly attracted a lot of attention.

Awesome colour scheme on that Stelvio indeed!

Thanks to everyone who attended the penultimate Seaways Café breakfast meet of 2024. There was a total of 18 Moto Guzzis. It was good to meet some new people and see a few different models.

Unfortunately, an error occurred when transferring the images from my camera to the PC, so we don’t have any pictures to show of yesterday’s meet.
