Well finally its happened , bought a V100s (grigio avanguardia) last week. Not the colour I wanted but I must admit the colour is starting to grow on me.

6 days and 2200 Ks or so on the clock. First service performed on the 5th day when due.

Feed back , love it .....the rain mode & adjustable screen was brilliant when heading home from Albury in the pissing rain.

Only wish it had some sort of audible alarm to deter the critters that decided to help me test out the brakes......1 deer, 2 roo's & 5 or so brumbies.. F&%k. F&%K F&%K

The Elliot way .. still scares me every time I ride thru there in the Fog & rain . Ever since we hit a fallow deer on the old 1200 sport (which now has 277,000ks on the clock and its a keeper)

will post some pic's of the new bike tomorrow in the registry ( just waiting for the rain to stop , so every thing doesn't look so grey)

Congratulations! The V100 is very addictive.

Only had Cath on it once since purchasing it for a quick blast up to Bermi & back. ( She's been crook - so I haven't tried it out with her for any long trips yet).
Cath reckons with the passenger peg extenders its as comfortable as the old Sport... which is saying something
Still waiting on the pillion comfort seat (which may now prove to be a waste of money) & panniers, before we do any long trips together.
Anyway "out of the box" the bike handles great, but there's still room for improvement.
Currently playing around with the various modes in the electronic suspension, and preload. Also reckon, as I always suspected, I may have to put in some stiffer springs, but I'll make that decision once I've got panniers and a few other bits and pieces fitted

Haven't ridden a V100 yet but would like to.
Shame you didn't make contact as you passed through Albury, maybe next time.
Look fwd to pics of your new toy.

Cath & I ,will be in Albury on the 26th Aug on our way home from MGCoV's AGM( Have to drop the bike in to Blacklocks so they can see the slight oil leak the V100 has...that way they can order appropriate seal . I know it can only be one of two, have sent them photos , but they want to see it for themselves, but hey its under warranty so you do what you have to do... just means another 1000k round trip when they get the part in, just as well I enjoy the ride).
Staying at the Boomerang after the coming from Melbourne Via Mansfield ,Whitfield etc. Will be having dinner with a mate , but if you want a catch up for a beer or two prior just let me know.
