Has anyone had an issue where the Cali goes completely dead?

I road my bike back on September 13 to a store, came out and the bike did not start, no noises, no dash, no lights, NOTHING.

The battery checks good and the fuses are ok. It is not the recall issue of the wiring to the starter solenoid (Tech Bulletin G_150385_RC_EN). This has been verified by an authorized Moto Guzzi dealer.

The dealer contacted Moto Guzzi for authorization to continue to work on the bike under warranty. Since my warranty ran out on April 18, 2016, they declined to pay for it.

This could be 4-5 hours of labor of cost to me @$90/hr

I asked the mechanic where the power is lost? He said it gets to the key switch and out, but the ECU, and dash, ABS are not getting power. They are going to start looking at the wiring harness.

Has anyone had this issue? If so what was the cause/fix?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I have not had this problem, but it appears your dealer is following a logical troubleshooting method. That is, locate the last place where there is power, then test from that point to locate the fault.
