OEM Stelvio NTX Heated Grips

I have just purchased a 2015 Stelvio NTX, with the Guzzi genuine heated grips, being fitted by the dealer.......I get the bike next week, and just wondering whether the wire as displayed above for the oxford, after market ones, is visible............? Or is the connection/contacts out of sight within the handle/grip ?......
 
Go with the Oxfords. By most. Accounts they will provide much more heat.

Mine has the guzzi heated grips. The wires are visible and there is a loop of extra wire on the right grip to accommodate throttle rotation. The grip in the above photo was an Oxford....it looks a bit more substantial than the oem heated grips on mine.

Thanks for the clarification, there are not many of the Stelvios on the road here in Australia, so it is hard to physically see various sets ups.........Cheers
 
The OEM heater grips are vaguely warm on the hottest setting.
My old BMW ones could bake bread.
I'm thinking Oxford grips spliced into the original wiring is the best way forward.
Afterall, the hottest setting should be almost too hot, allowing you to go down to medium.
 
Don’t know what to tell you.

My 2012 stock heated grips will get so hot on high that you absolutely have to turn them down to medium or low.

You do realize there are 3 dashboard controlled heat settings on a Stelvio, right?

This is well covered in the OWNERS MANUAL.
