I remember reading on here a guy asking about some protection for his oil cooler and someone said there was a part available, probably at great cost!

This is my version, a sheet of stainless mesh off flea bay, some cable ties, and a strip of screen edging glued in place.
Total cost = 20 minutes in the shed and £5 in parts
Works pretty good too!
Here we have the screen made. 8x5 inches.

And fitted...

Nice work! I may do something like that as well. It looks like it would provide very effective protection.

I knew that piece of scrap SS screening I found would be handy one day.
No idea why my wife calls those treasures 'trash'.

Stucchi Luigi are now offering an Oil cooler Guard, seen on their website. Was about 60 euros I think.

For 60 euros it bloody should do!

I'll do you one of mine for 30 :D

I think the new Norge will need one more, it's at the bottom, just where the trash is thrown up off the front wheel. And there's a fan in front to get clogged up with mud.

I hate the useless front mudguards they fit these days.

On the Breva and Stelvio I've fitted a rubber extension which keeps most of the crap off the engine.

Your right it should look good for 60 Euro, imagine what Touratech would charge :D

Oh yes, and you couldn't stop there, you would need the guard for the rear brake reservoir, the gear lever and brake guards etc etc.

Funny thing is most of the big beemers I see all Tourateched up never leave the tarmac!

Hell... of all the beemers I see around here I have only ever seen 2 off tarmac at all.

Mind you I have the only Guzzi I have ever seen around here that goes off tarmac so....
