Removing sticker on gas tank..?!

But does Guzzi really put on a sticker that says "No Ethanol?'

Surely not.

But, if so, they must be clueless about US reality or doing an attempt at CYA. If the latter, shame on them.

Bill

To be clear, you are right of course, it didn't so "no ethanol." That was just my shorthand version of the not-over-10% sticker posted by Godfrey. Sorry for the false alarm..

Sorry to take this thread on a tangent, but metal vs plastic tanks, I would like to know more thoughts on this. Certainly, if cared for a metal tank can last forever and plastic will degrade regardless. I can see an advantage that plastic is more puncture resistant. Of course as a purest, tanks should be metal.

Thanks for the clarification. Spooked me.

Then again, I am a poster child for gullibility and overthinking the obvious. :giggle:

Oh man! I'm so glad somebody else had this problem. I just got a V7 III stone and that sticker was a real bugger. I drank several beer and just chipped away at it.

I just removed the stickers off the gas tank, fairly easy, used WD40 and a brand new razor blade and credit card, both came off within 30 minutes, after removing I used some goof off to clear the adhesive bed, and polished right away after. Perfect.

You put the WD40 on first..?

While we're on this topic, curious if folks have removed the stickers from their shocks. I have not done so yet. They wrap around pretty far on mine and I am not sure they will come off as easily (which is to say not so easily at all!) as the tank and fender stickers.

Nah, I'm leaving those, doesn't bother me on those cheapo shocks....
