These are pix of a recent ride to a small Moto Guzzi gathering — the South’n Spine Raid (“SSR”) — at Tellico Plains, Tennessee, earlier this month.

This was the 20th SSR, and, as with the previous events, great fun. I did not search, but pretty sure I have posted about this event before.

Over the years, I have ridden all of my Guzzi moto-harem down there. This year, it was again the ’22 V85. I was joined by AJ, who was on a twin of my “Guardia d’Onore."

Even if “too many” pix, consider that I started with 452, and deleted 300+. In other words, it could have been worse. ;)

As usual with my Smugmug pix, these open in “collage landscape.” You can hover your cursor over the individual photos to see the captions, but, if you care, those are easier to read in slideshow or advanced individually.

looks like a great get together…
But, what happened at or shortly after your brothers place that gave you the opportunity to get such a nice « bracelet « ?

Hmmmmm.

Thought I'd said that in one of my captions, but will add if not.

Dx was "Intersection Syndrome." See,e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersection_syndrome

I was concerned that if I were to ride it back 600 or so miles that I would risk not healing in time for my Guzzi tour of Corsica and Sardinia; I leave for that on Thursday.

So far -- by "doing what I have been told," I feel MUCH better. Ward Nurse Kathi -- a.k.a. "Darthette Vadar :giggle: -- ensures I am following the regimen.

Now, what CAUSED it? I'm thinking about that.

We did two very intense, fast, technical days in a row on the way down. In other words, I was screaming in my helmet lots. No doubt with bars in a death grip, too. Yes, I know better ... comma but.

Moreover, I had recently changed the ergos a bit by lowering the forks in the triple trees and shaving down the shock collar at the rear. I don't doubt that all of the above "helped" make the problem.

Thanks for asking.

Awesome looking trip, Bill!! I love that whole tri-state area! Every time I’m down there, I hit Telico Grains (at least once!). Take care of that wrist 🤛 ! Cheers!
