Hi,

Ok, I know this is a very stupid and Noob question to ask. I know longer have a private garage and in a hi-rise down-town with a shared parking space. My bike has just under 600 miles and I want to minimize my swap time.

Any tricks or issues by others? Nothing to do other than the clamp and then the hanger? Any rubber mallets needed? :) With this few miles it should slip off? Any WD-40 or similar? I changed my V11 when it had ~3K miles and one side struggled more than the other. Also, I neglected to by new exhaust gaskets. I know they can be used if I pull them out cleanly. Any tricks there too?

Once I have on and secure the Mrs said she will get me Todd's flash-box for my birthday!:D

Any tips or forewarning is appreciated.

I assume you are just removing the muffler. Yes, it's that easy. Loosen the clamp and remove the hanger bolt. A little twisting motion shall make it come free quite easily. I don't know what you are installing, but you should not need any sort of gasket.

Hi John,

A Mistral....just exhaust. They have those soft gaskets I am told that can be difficult to pull out if the bike has gone a bunch of miles. I am hoping to simply pull them out and re-use on the new pipes.

Hi - Did change the exhaust last weekend. I think they look and sound really nice. No popping on deceleration noticed with the DB in for those curious. This being said I am still getting Todd's tool to put the right map in for my set-up. Will let you know how that goes. :)
