I understand the New V7 has the same motor as the Breva and Nevada.

If so, won't it also need a sump spacer?

(I just installed mine on my Breva.:cheer: Much relief.)

For inspired riding; of course it will.

But you need to persuate Ed make some black anodized ones!

I already talked to ED about that and it looks like it will be a trip to the powder coaters for me before it goes on. Go on it will as I would not feel comfortable riding around in the hot Florida heat with the minute oil capacity it comes with.

When installing the Sumpspacer I'm assuming that you need to install two new sump gaskets, one on top and one on bottom. Does the Sumpspacer come with those? Can they be ordered along with the Sumpspacer?

Correct, it would need two gaskets, and your local dealer is the best one to get them from. The GuzziTech sump spacer does not include gaskets if ordered from Ed (typically).

Pardon me my ignorance,

but,

what could be a reason to install such a spacer?

Increase the sump oil capacity by 1 Liter, the benefit's are a slight decrease in oil temperature and longer drain intervals due to the increased capacity the oil will stay cleaner longer.

BTW did you experience any oil usage during break in on the V7 ?

No, I didn't,
and I checked at 500Km until first maintenance (1000Km)
Now I check every 1000Km,
haven't noticed there's an oil level change (5500Km on the odo)

I have read horror stories from small block owners,
so I keep a close eye on it
(and on loose bolts, tire pressure, leaks,...)
