Ok so I’m new here and don’t know if I should post this here or in the tech section. I got my bike 9 days ago now and just yesterday when I was riding at night my dad riding behind me noticed my tail light was out. This tail light failure came with no warning and the brake light still works. So when I got home we traced the whole wiring system and checked fuses and nothing seemed wrong but I realized I could use the parking lights to test if the system still functions and sure enough they came right on. So now I don’t know what to do clearly there is clearly no physical issue with the wiring or lights but searching the diagnostic system in the bike it showed no codes. Any ideas? Help is greatly appreciated

I like the way John thinks.
Here is a search I did-----------------------------

Different model same issue.

Ok if anyone is still interested I am a terrible electrician (maybe I should have considered the at before buying a guzzi) but I have narrowed the problem down to the ignition. Using a test light on the wire for the tail lights I get continuity in park light mode but not in engine run mode. Any got ideas on how to fix this? Or is it just gonna have to be a new key

I think that it comes apart & can replace the bottom half of switch. Search
Just from memory of riders here working on their ignition switch. You could also replace & reprogram keys to dash.
