Well, not that it’s lacking latest technology.I think BMW were the first to rotate the head through 90 degrees. The advantages are so significant it's a wonder they didn’t do it sooner. Maybe something to do with requiring water cooling?
But I agree: no new invented techniques really. Innovation in the motorcycle industry is painfully slow, mostly because motorcyclists are, on the whole, extremely conservative and resistant to change.
But we can say the same of most things nowadays, can’t we?
EV’s aren’t new exactly, and battery tech is mostly just polished techniques.
Computers have been used for decades even on vehicles.
Etc.
So in this respect MG actually introduced active aero on the V100, first on standard motorcycles.
Still, the technique isn’t new, but the application is the first on standard motorcycles.
