I had said in the past that I wasn't going to take my V85 out on any more trails (green lanes in the UK), but it was a lovely day, so I thought, why not?!?!

I did actually mention how some of our trails, and country roads came to be, the reason or roads are so twisty compared to more newer countries. We def have some history here, and there was a huge influence in the development of Britton by the Romans too.Good stuff; thanks for posting.
Not all here are awake, so had sound off , so may have missed some of your comments on the origin of those trails in your comments.
Some of those trails looked to be centuries (and even more) old, with possibly a Roman legion's sandals wearing down the path. Those are the kind of routes I look for around here for my Stornello. Interesting how, after riding the area on street bikes for years, I can, with the little beast, find unpaved roads virtually out of my driveway that I had not seen before.

Hahahaa... ayeYou think? Maybe somehow that’s linked to that funny stone wall that cuts from Wallsend on the River Tyne in the east to Bowness-on-Solway in the west.
