Trax Top case Mount?

thanks, I've heard that from a couple of other owners of current Stelvios.

Those two cantilevered supports just look a bit spindly, good to hear they're up to the task.
Top cases tend to get loaded past their recommended limits, but I bought a smallish one on purpose since it is primarily going to be there for the missus to have as a backrest/support.

I'm not so much concerned about too much stuff in it as I was giving her a secure support behind her.
She only weighs 115 lbs dripping wet, so she won't be putting a lot of weight against it....I would hate to have it give way and scare her out of a few years :lol:
After riding pillion on an XX and ZX-14, she just feels better having something back there.

My question is mostly about how stiff that support apparatus feels to those of you who have mounted a top box or case. The weight limit is not much (12.5lbs?) which is typical for topboxes... but does it feel pretty stout and secure?
Enough that a pillion can use the backrest without feeling like they're going to snap off a little bracket?

On the strength of the mounts, they're plenty strong and well attached. I'm sure that some lawyer helped with the 12.5 pound capacity limit; I've mounted passenger seats on brackets that bent easier than these would ....

I do ride exclusively solo and I am thinking about removing the rear seat and installing the top case moved forward as I did on my present 2006 1200GS. I do not have the Stelvio yet (coming in May), but I wonder what top case is narrow enough so that I would be able to open the side cases. It was a non issue on my BMW, as the Vario cases open to side.
