Hi all! The following warning appears periodically: URGENT!.
I restart the engine, it changes to SERVICE. I restart again, the warning disappears. After this the bike runs great! It may appear 1 or 2 times a month, which is very annoying! May not appear for a long time. Maybe someone has encountered something similar and can suggest a direction to troubleshoot. We are having problems with the dealer.
I can't attach a video.

I've had something similar just lately, I think it is caused by the battery dropping below a certain voltage if I leave the bike sitting for a week of so without connecting the trickle charger, the Urgent Service message comes on along with the engine light but it will start and run ok and resets itself after a couple of kms, if I leave it connected to the trickle charger it doesn't happen. The battery is a few years old so could be coming due for replacement.

Todd's point about the dealer -- regrets you have issues with yours -- is likely the only definitive answer, but FWIW, I post two pix here.

Not sure how a 1400's "URGENT" corresponds to a V85's "ALARM SERVICE," but FWIW ...

The first pic shows the warning that scared me feceless when my V85 was new, and the second, the dealer's invoice with PADS finding.

You may need a magnifying glass to read the latter.

As always, YMMV; buon fortuna,

Bill
