V100 H20 Stelvio Chat

I'm wondering if "less rigid" is due to the rubber mounted foot peg assemblies?
Could be, and also could be suspension damping/set-up. Pre-production models often are hand-built and refined to build production specs from.

I rather like the look of the new Stelvio, when it's ridden.
But it struck home with me yesterday when I had to move 7 new Ducati V4 adventure bikes out of our shed.
This things are high and heavy to push, and difficult even on a perfect concrete surface.
Add luggage, tiredness, mud caked tyres and I can't imagine the adventure lasting too long.
Chris.

My my bum look big in this?
LOL - Obviously the angle

But (no pun intended)

I keep looking at the side photos of the seats and it's holding me back till we can actually sit on one. The front seat looks mighty thin, flat, and I hate being locked into one position.

Plus, we do a lot of two up, my lady is a solid 5'10," and we did not like how much above me she was on the Tiger1200.

A new Stelvio? Is there such a thing? Me no think so!
Speaking with my local Moto Guzzi dealer (imagine. The only one in the Chicago area, and just 4 miles away!) They are expecting one, maybe two Stelvio by the end on the year. About $16k. More sport touring than the Mandelo. Same engine but more features. we'll see.

My dealer referred me to Guzzi's website to order it there, which I did. Guzzi confirmed it right away replying:

To prepare and deliver your Moto Guzzi products it might take from 15 to 30 days.
In the next 24 hours (1 business day) one of our representative will contact you to keep you updated on the order status.

So who knows, 30 days?

So about 22K for us Canadians. No thank you. For that much I can have an older Stelvio and a Norge and money left over.

Have you ridden a V100 Mandello? Time has a habit of finding better ways to do things. Let alone dealing with hardening rubber, wear, etc.

I would much rather have one of the new bike(s) a lot more than the 15-16 year old designs you mention. The only reason I haven't plunked down cash on a new Stelvio is that the seats don't look comfy so I want to sit on one first.

Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry.

There is a reason for different flavors…

The Mandelo is what Guzzi made to replace the California due to the new European emissions regulations. Not bad at all. Just the seal is a little too high for me

Yeah I was trying to understand that myself. I wouldn't be surprised if the next V100 variant is a California? Or maybe a naked roadster then a California tourer?

Perhaps the motor, but not the bike. I very briefly saw a tease about 2 months ago hinting that a new California is in the works. We will see.
