Sounds like a perfect day of riding, buddies and food. That is almost the most important stuff in life :) Like you, I also have a Verde on order, mine is supposed to land in early May. I'm going from a 2019 BMW R1250RT to the Verde. BMW has always had clunky first and second gear shift, so it will be nothing new. Stay safe.
Thx, Fleuger99… if you don’t mind me asking, when did you put your order in? I sent a general note to MG USA, asking if there is a way to determine an estimate of where orders are in the queue... No response. I hope yours comes in as expected👍😁.

I put my order in with my local MG dealer AF1 Racing for the Aviazione Navale limited edition in early Nov and was told it would arrive in late-Jan or early Feb. Bikes began arriving in late Feb but not mine. On Mar 11th I went into the dealer and test rode both a base model and an S model and really preferred the semi active suspension so asked if I switched from the AN Limited edition to a Verde S model, when would it arrive. First the sales guy told me that he was informed that the AN Limited editions models would not be arriving now until early June. He said he had a Verde S coming in, in May that was not spoken for so he would make sure its mine.

To answer your other question, I ordered it through my local dealer. They have been awesome throughout the process and providing updates when they receive them from MG. They currently have two base models in stock for sale, one Magma and one in Bianco. They briefly had an unsold S in Grigio Avanguardia in stock which they offered me but I am not a fan of that color. It was sold less than a week later. Do you have a local MG dealer you can go to and let them know when you ordered and if they could provide any details for you. I'm sure they would help. Waiting sucks for sure. Good luck.

Think you have to have a dealer accept your order from MG , If you have not done that you might not be on any list from a dealer.

I put mine in back in Sept. From what I understand they only brought over 80 or so in the first wave and have over 200 preorders.

That info was from back in early March so who knows. But Moto Guzzi isn't like Harley or Indian who'll increase production to meet demand on short notice. The Italians kind make what they make.

Thanks for the reply, Fleuger99👍😁. Sounds like you made a good choice to take that Verde👍.

I do have a Guzzi dealer about 5 miles from me - Cadre Cycles (Cincinnati). That’s all they sell (new), but service others as well. They’ve been good (to me) over the 7 yrs I’ve had my Norge (bought it there). They are ready and willing to help out, but I guess the communication from Guzzi/Piaggio to dealers can be suspect🧐. I ordered on 3/16, and the “customer portal” for the purchase has said “In Progress” since then. We’ll see, I guess. I know it won’t do any good to have the typical American expectation of immediate gratification, hehe.

AF1 Racing is a nice looking outfit - I’ve perused their web site - they’re getting a lot of accessories already😁.

Hope to see your new bike pics here when it comes in! Thx again!

If you put in your order in March you are probably going to be waiting quite a while.

Think Piaggio needs to get their act together. Put a deposit on a verde V100S in August 2022 in Canada. At the time MG showed gold wheels on the bike, but somewhere along the line MG changed wheels to black. Doesn't make sense when forks are gold on V100S, black on standard model. Also wanted optional centrestand and bags. Dealer couldn't even provide final price until January 2023. MG also showed oil sight glass on right on early models, now there is just rough casting where glass was to go and you have to unscrew dipstick on left side to check oil. Bit disappointed in changes since I placed order. Standard models have been delivered but still waiting for mine. Dealer just informed me that they now have the bike but can't register it because there has been a recall and they are waiting for the replacement parts. No details were provided. Anyone know anything about this recall??? Still waiting.

Since they took a big swing at me and this website a few months ago, I’ll be jabbing back. To start, as a small manufacturer in a post-COVID world, global supply is still a seriously real issue. Piaggio has suppliers from Asia and India, and with that, everything suffers.
Arguments can be had on big businesses giving a resourceful boost, but more often than not it seems to go in the wrong direction from what I’ve seen.
Long gone is the internal direction in Mandello, that made them what they are IMO.

I’m not aware of any recalls, outside of the clamp on one of the coolant lines. It’s documented here. Please ask them what the recall is, and post on it here if different please.

Enjoy the site and the bike.

Don't get me wrong, I am really looking forward to getting the bike, just seems to be hard to get information. I love MG's, owned an 850 Eldorado in the 70's. Will post update when I find out about the recall that is holding up delivery. Must be more than a clamp since dealer is waiting for replacement part(s).

If you lived in the Guzzi world before, nothing’s changed, and arguably even worse. Please do post a follow up.

Thanks for note about rpm sensor. I am currently on holidays in UK but will call dealer today to see if that is the recall part. Hope yours is working ok now. Just got rid of new 2020 Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine that spent most of last two years in shop when it kept breaking down. I hope MG can't be that bad.

Thx Glen - and, good luck to you! In my case, suspect it will take a week or two to get the part in from Italy, and the bike back together. Hopefully(!), I’ll be able to ride without that nagging worry of whether the bike is going to quit. I traded a ‘15 Norge and a Ducati ST3S on the V100S - both bikes were wonderful, for many years. The shop I have is great, so I am encouraged👍😁.

Please keep us updated about the recall!

Just heard from dealer. Recall is to check for clip on brake line and possible missing brake spring. Hopefully it will be addressed by next week before I get home from UK.

Thx for the update Glen👍. My dealer did in fact mention that one, as well as the hose clamp (which was a problem on some of the early deliveries, but addressed as they became aware of the issue). Sort of like growing pains I guess. Hope all will be great for you when you get it. Post pics!
