250 mile trip in the Hill Country of Texas , big roads and small farm roads .
Love the bike , getting used to way less engine braking than my old Le Mans 111.
Quick shift nice , but gear box has an old BMW cluck going into first hope it gets better with use, RPM in netural seems high at 1200 rpm , which might lead to the 1st gear cluck.
Front brake quite grabby while going slow ,
The only real complaint I have is the heat coming up around your feet from the exhaust collection /cat box under the gear box , it was 84 here today and the bike oat said 90 . And when you slowed down you could really feel the heat , I would guess some one will
build a great two pipe exhaust system to get rid of the heat sink.

If you used Sport mode the engine Breaking is radically reduced!
Road mode gives you max engine braking.......
 
When I test rode a V100 last Sat the sales person showed me that one can adjust engine braking, there are settings in one of the menus. I set mine to the higher setting coming from a BMW Boxer engine which has a ton of engine braking.
