V100 S Oil leaking from TFT screen

I cannot imagine a TFT screen has any oil in it. Check the consistency of the liquid (oil, water, etc.) in question, and try to visually or by touch track it back to it's source.

I agree with you that there should not be any oil in the TFT unit. I am trying to find where it is coming from. It is definitely a viscous substance like lubricant.

Wondering if it could be excess lub from the windshield mechanism. Can't find out for sure without taking the front fairing apart.

I have raised it with the dealer in Toronto and will report back.

If you can collect enough, maybe you can mix with water to see if they separate… confirming an oil material. Hard to imagine there being any liquid inside - weird🤔. Good luck!

Likely turn signal fluid, or known in the UK as blinker fluid. The fluid is much lighter in the new LED lights and there can be seepage, and it can be flung onto the upper fairing. I would just go back to your dealer and ask for non-synthetic non LED turn signal fluid, and replace it in all of the signals
Wow, your on a roll! :)

Lee at Studio Cycle in Toronto will have a good laugh at this one! LOL

BTW - I id'd the source of the leak when I took off the front cowl to recuperate one of those pesky snap rings from the windshield mechanism: residual lithium grease sprayed on the said mechanism's springs, which were starting to rust!?!

I guess I should ride slower?...
