My V11 isn't charging as I understand it should be. It's basically at 13v at the battery, engine off. When running, it's only 13.5. I replaced both the Regulator and Stator. Prior to this problem, It had melted the 30a fuse. I checked, but could not find a short. I'm now suspicious of my new lithium battery… Still testing.

For the V7 850 (2022+) the service station manual specifies a range from 13 to 15 V when running. So maybe 13.5 V is within specs for the V11 also??

I was told it should be 14 to 15 however you may be correct. I rode it 60 miles round-trip yesterday and the battery did not deplete at all.
I am still very suspicious of a possible short, but I checked the wires so many times and found nothing.

The mere suggestion that 13V is adequate for a charging system in bogus . A fully charged lead acid battery is pretty well 13.2V . 13V is not charging the battery . If you have omitted mentioning that you have accessories (electrical) that are putting a load in excess of the alternators maximum current output (amps) , then that should be mentioned . 13.5V is a very modest output by anything made in the 21st century . We prefer to see 14V at something near highway engine revs . That's my rant 🙂.

@GTM® The parts are from ElectroSport, they are local, about 4 miles away. Since swapping these parts changed nothing, I expect there must be a short, but I haven't been smart enough to find it as of yet.

@Moto-Uno There are no accessories. It does run a PowerCommander, but the remaining is stock.

That shouldn't be enough of a draw to reduce the charging to a mere 13V . I'm curious , when you replaced the original fuse , did the fuse holder appear to be ever so slightly melted ? Or was there a bit of corrosion on the fuse tabs or fuse holder slots ? When you were testing the running voltage ( 3000rpm + ) did you test it at the battery terminals ? Oh yeah , as an aside I'm hoping you scraped all the grounding areas before installing the regulator , (and battery and motor grounds) . And if it holds a charge and restarts well , then maybe the rather low 13.5V is enough for your bike .

OK, very familiar as we have been a long time dealer of their products. Appreciate you not linking them unless to the GTM Store.
You’ve mentioned Chinese parts for your V7, so just checking. Tons of good info on this site and the Archive tab for the older bikes on problematic issues. Best of luck to you.
