Hi Guzzi Owners…
Own a 2015 V7 Racer. Just turned 11k miles. When I engage the clutch a faint chirping sound emerges (only happens when the clutch lever is engaged/pulled in). No problem shifting and no slipping. The chirping appear to get a little louder as the bike bike warms up. Any idea what is causing this? Ironically it happed just shortly after I replaced the gear and final drive oils. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My Breva 1100 does the same thing, done it for years. Nothing to do with the oil change. I think its one of the clutch plates moving on the splines. One of the qwerks of a dry clutch,
Thank you Kevin. Ugh!!! Funny enough a riding buddy of mine said it’s the result of me not riding it enough lol. Dry clutch and I live in a very dry climate…outstanding (not).

Both my carcs do this at a stand still when operating the clutch. There are some big, dry pieces of metal rubbing up against each other down there without any lube. Don't worry :)

Nordicnorm, thank you for taking the time to reach out and share your input and experience. I’ll be honest, it still makes me nervous. But I do feel better. In hope this will help other riders, I’ll keep an open ear and provide any updates should the sound change in any way. I was hoping I could attach a sound bite, but from what I can tell that’s not an option.

Cheers!

Btw I had to look up CARC. Had no idea if that stood for something or was a nickname or what.

Here is what my research resulted in…

Cardano Reattivo Compatto' - Compact Reactive Driveshaft

It’s the style of rear drive on late models with single sided swing arm.
