Hi Folks,

I have a 2022 V7 850 E5 fitted with Guzzi's OEM rear rack. I was wondering if anyone has experience of fitting the Longride saddlebag / pannier supports (what Longride call spacers) to a bike with the OEM rear rack?

I got in touch with Longride, thinking that the model of spacer made for the Special should work, as the OEM rear rack seems to be the grab rail found on the Special with the addition of the rear rack and its supports welded on. Since these additional parts that make up the rack sit above where Longride's spacer fits, and the rack has the same underside fitting attachment as the Special's grab rail (please see the attached picture), I can't see why the spacer would not fit, but Longride say it won't but haven't explained why.

Anyway, any insight or help would be very much appreciated. I want to use soft bags that lock and Longride's seem ideal. Unfortunately, I can't just order one to try it out as I live in the UK, and the nearest stockist is in Belgium, so shipping returns and customs costs are too high just to give it a try.

Thanks in advance.
Stu
