Wondering if anyone else experiencing the same symptoms as me.
On the top of the seat, where it meets the tank, there is a 1/4" wide strip from top seem to top seem, that is sticky and rubs off onto your hand/finger when touched. You can see in the photo, after wiping it to see what was going on, the print/texture is gone, leaving it a darker brown. Rest of the seat is fine. My bike is parked outside work most of the day, in SoCal. I've only had the bike since February, a little over 4k miles. Kind of a bummer. Whenever quick detailer etc. is used on the paint, I always remove the seat.
The only answer I could come up with, is that the curved area of the tank that butts up against the seat, is magnifying the sun onto that part of the seat? Also wondering if MG would entertain this kind of situation as a warranty claim? Seems really premature for vinyl deterioration.
