Does anyone know if the muffler gasket for a v7 iii (GU91113826) is ok to use or will even fit on a v7 850? The part number for the E5 bikes is 2B007137, which does not appear to be the same part, but figured it could work?

The issue is, I can't find anyone that has stock for the v7 850 specific gasket.

I searched around here for an answer, but no luck.

Side note, possibly related to the header gaskets: I hear a squeak/chirp sound coming from the exhaust flange/head area. Seems like its on both sides. Sounds like a metal on metal sort of noise, very faint. If you rev the bike it becomes inaudible, therefore most noticeable at idle. Wondering if this is just a gasket issue from removing the headers a couple of times and the gaskets need to be replaced, or if its something more major and I should be concerned. There also appears to be what looks like carbon build up on one of the flanges, which leads me to believe it could be leaking slightly. No other odd noises or smells or anything that seems out of the ordinary. Another edit: the noise is only audible in front of the cylinders, but I can't pinpoint it. Sounds like it could even be coming from the timing case?

Cheers.

If you can see carbon, it got there because a gasket, or sealing surface has been compromised. My guess is these may (emphasis on "may") be a crush type gasket. Therefore, loosening them off and re-tightening them is unlikely to solve it.
Can't help you on if they are interchangeable with the 750.

That makes sense. Loosening and retightening at the very least did not fix the sound its making. Since it appears to be coming from both sides, its starting to make me believe it could be coming from the area between, like the timing cover. Really difficult to detect the true source/location of the noise.

852090 fits. I have a pair in stock here in Orange.
