V7 throw out bearing lube/grease?

I'm replacing the clutch throw out bearing in my 2013 v7 stone, and can't find any info on whether or not to grease the bearing. It seems to be a common issue that the bearing will begin failing and making lots of noise, and causing clutch problems. Could this be because these bearings are not lubed upon assembly? And would using some light bearing grease be a bad idea? It is a dry clutch after all.

Just coat with gear oil. It will be lubricated by the oil in the gearbox.
 
Is the symptom a loud fan belt like squeal? I’ve started having that at a stop with the clutch lever in, can be stopped by shifting to neutral.

This trait first appeared with the 750 Breva and for years no one could figure out the cause. I read somewhere that the current theory is the push rod. You could try replacing that or as some mechanics might say just turn up the radio so you can't hear it.
 
I have replaced the bearing, push rod, and bushings. The sound was completely gone for about 1000 miles and after a recent ride in torrential rain, it's beginning to happen again. Is it possible I am getting moisture inside the clutch case?
 
To be clear, the clucth functions fine. No strange cable free play or anything. Just an uncomfortable sound when in gear, at a stop with the clutch lever pulled in.

That area is not hermetically sealed. Moisture will get there just from normal air humidity. Moisture can also get to the big block bikes, but they don't have this trait and they have a similar clutch actuation system.

Is there any kind of breather vent in the clutch case? Or any way to sort of clean it out of dust and debris without actually disassembling the bike?
