Howdy guys!
Wanted to float a question out there. Has anyone installed a switch that intrupts the ABS? Maybe a switch that deactivates the fuse? I occasionally hit gravel/fire roads on my Stornello, and it would be nice to be able to punch a switch instead of pulling over, removing the seat, pulling the fuse, then reversing the process before hitting the pavement again.
Thanks all
Stay safe!

Is this what you are looking for?

ABS and how to turn off MGTC System.

Owners Manual. From page 35.

It basically is, start engine, while ABS light flashes, with the engine already running and in neutral, press and hold the starter button for 2 seconds until the ABS light goes solid, indicating that the system is now disabled.

When you want it back on, stop, turn off ignition switch, wait a few seconds, turn back on, start bike, drive away and ABS light will go out, indicating that the system is working.

There is also a similar calibration procedure which you need to know how to do at certain times.

It’s all right there in your Owners Manual.

I don’t own a Stornello but Bill Hagan here has one among his fleet.

Perhaps he’ll chime in on this for you but I believe the Owners Manual has what you are looking for (How to turn off and on) specifically on page 38.

@Scott Pisczek - since you didn’t check back in here, I’ll assume you figured it out? So the Traction Control (TC) can be disabled/enabled via the process Scott outlines above. You do not need to stop or turn off the ignition or engine. The ABS cannot be disabled without removing the fuse. You might try a switch if pulling the fuse is too much work under the seat for you. ;)
