Good afternoon, all.

Looking for a good backrest for the Mrs. on my V7II Special. Ideally, I'd like a solution with both a backrest and some bars for her to hold her hands onto. If I can't find a unit with handholds included, I'd also like to get some separately, and would prefer chrome.

If anyone has some suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it. Thank you very much!

Welcome and congrats on the V7. Hope you’ll add your info to our Registry; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/v7-registry-picture-thread-add-your-bike.9108/

HB makes one in chrome without the backrest; https://gtmotocycles.com/collections/body-n-bags/products/hb-rear-rack-chrome-v7-i-ii-iii - which you could either add a top case and backrest pad (easiest) or I can make something for you for about the same cost to add to the rack. Otherwise, Guzzi makes one I can get and do the same for $499 as shown below.

Thank you for your reply, and my apologies for taking so long to respond.

Ideally, I'd like to find something that will not make for as large a visual impact as installing a top case on the rear, although I have considered looking into some options for potential road trips or motorcycle camping. I suppose it would not be too difficult to install and remove the rack (and whatever back padding I wind up using) when I am riding the bike short distances or alone, so your suggestion might be a good one after all.

I'm afraid I am a little unclear on the price overall, though. I see that the Hepco Becker rack is priced at $278, but would you happen to know an estimated total cost for that plus the other items (either the top case and padding you mentioned or the other option you said you could "make") I would need to get her all set up?

Again, I'm sorry if I seem a little clueless. I've owned the bike for about a year and only recently started considering some modifications to make my wife more comfortable and provide some more utility. In truth, I'm just so in love with the look of the bike that I'm afraid to "ruin" it with the extra stuff.

Thanks again for your help!

Have a look at the Spaan from nilmoto.com.

I got mine here for my V7III Special. Does a perfect job and wifey loves it. They shipped to Australia no problem.
I'll attach a pic.

Oh, that looks fine! Not visually obtrusive at all and looks very comfortable for the lady... I think that might be just perfect. Thanks so much!

**Update: I emailed their customer support to ask if they would ship to the US, as currently their website only shows shipping to Spain, Portugal, and the EU. I'll update if I get a response.

2nd Update: I received a reply from Nilmoto. Unfortunately, they say that shipping to the US is very difficult right now, so they are unable to do it. I'll have to see if I can find one like it here, or perhaps just wait until shipping opens up again.

That does look perfect. A couple of questions. From the link, it lists the Stone and Stone ii does it fits the Stone iii without modifications?

I'm in the US so I may need to wait but this looks like a perfect solution.
