I have done a search for my small query but nothing seems to be related. In fact, this question is what made me look for a discussion forum or atircle in order for me to join and ask and apparently this is the motherload of Guzzi knowladge.
I had my V85TT Centenario for a year now, everything is stock minus two things.
I switch the foot pegs for some pivot pegs, They are wider, and have the option of taking off a plastic cover and reveal "teeth" for a better off road grip experience and also allow me to stand on the bike a easier. The other thing I changed was when I bought the motorcycle I asked for the tires to be changed for the Adventure ones.
But in all honesty I dont see how these minor changes are affecting my MPG or if I just don't know how to ride correctly. (Since its the first bike I own)
My current MPG after 3,593 miles is 23.8MPG...
I never taken it off road since I am dreading a fall and banging up my Guzzi, so its mostly seen tarmac action, with a few sprinkles of dirt patches here an there.
My avg speed on the highway is 70-75 mph since anything lower than that oddly enough seems slower than anything else at the same speed. Even in CC I get below avrg. MPG. I am no speed devil nor do I have a thirst to splat on the road.
The only thing I can think of is that I use to do "line" in order to go to work daily. It would be a stop and go from anywhere from 15 min to 1 hr. But then again, I would shut down my bike duirng periods longer than 10 sec "standing" still. But that does mean MANY start ups in a short span of time.
When and If I take my bike off road for real, I know I am going to be slowing down the pack form inexperience and the fear of dropping the bike, which is fine. But I don't want it to be for the guy that needs to make frequent stops or with 3 gas tanks since I dont average up to other bikes
Any Ideas of what gives? Is it as simple as user error? Faulty sensor? Wrong Gas (I use 91)? Maybe I just too overweight?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL DR; My MPG is 23.8M anyone else gets this low MPG?
Appologise for the blury pic, I bought a Screen Protector for the dash and it makes it look hazy when taking pictures.
I remeber when I bought the bike it would give me 250 MPT when Full, now it only states 150....
Aiuto per favore!
