Hi all , just completed a small run down to Ayrshire and back [ 800 miles ] . Probably the last good weather of the year . All good except gear box clunk seems worse so will keep eye on it , exhaust bolt still intact after 1500 miles . Just wanted to share a photo of bike at Kyle of Lochalsh with the Skye bridge in background .IMG-20241003-WA0001 (1).webp

Hi , not sure if you mean have I taken it to dealer. No not yet for clunk . Doing a bit of research myself, I know they all do it but it's quite noticeable . Replaced exhaust bracket and bolt myself as it's a 600 mile round trip to dealer and they wanted to see it first.

Hi Ranishdogs,

Nice coastal pic of your V100.

Following up on you cat bolt comment which we kicked tires on earlier in the year, my fourth cat bolt has been in place now for >4,500 miles, without any rotation. This was after the dealer removed the rear wheel to install a new tire, loosened all the bolts from header to muffler and realigned the exhaust system. However, it does continue to leak a little exhaust gas, though not noticeable in performance or noise.

Just turned 10K on the clock and the cat bolt has been the biggest nit so far. I'll take that.

...and yes, the first gear shift clunk is still there on mine, no different to day one.

T2

Hi T2 , glad yo hear your getting the use of yours . Since I loosened the exhaust and realigned everything and ground interior weld to get the silencer in further it's be all good . Think we are on the right track anyway . The first gear clunk is not a problem in itself , but I've ben hearing another noise now,and again ( almost like a loose metal sound ) which I'm keeping an ear on .
I'm in the process of fitting straighter bars to try and cure my hand pain so might do post on that . Also I've fitted a Vantrue front and rear camera, set up .

Fun pic. Good for the Registry and pic post. Please don’t bury tech info here. I realize social media garbage has encouraged this, but it makes me work hard to keep things on point here for everyone, and my patience is about exhausted in doing so. Thanks.
