So I noticed a couple drops of oil in the garage under the stelvio. I was about to pull the skid plate and saw this. It appears to be coming from the top of the cylinder (left side) and runs down the entire case. The photos don't really show how bad it is. Any idea where this is coming from ... and what it's gonna take to fix?

Most likely oil pressure sending unit. Could be a vent hose from the timing case if the Stelvio has one.
 
The timing sensor is just ahead of the left cylinder up there. It isn't unusual for those to leak. If you pull it to seal it and replace the oring, keep in mind that it is shimmed. You want to put it back with the same shims.
The front cover has a hole up there used for venting on the Norge and Breva. On the Stelvio, it is a simple blank plate. That may be leaking. Hopefully not because the screw heads are blocked by the frame brace right there and very difficult to get to.
 
As Wayne said, most likely the phase/crank sensor. Known issue. You can just try and re-torque the bolts that hold it. Can do that without removing anything just need a long extension. That worked on my leak for 2 years. The second time I had to remove it and place a small amount of RTV silicone on the o-ring and re-install. Has worked ever since. I think even if you replace the o-ring it will eventually happen again. The RTV assures it won't.
 
I had the same problem on my B11. I solved the leak with brake cleaner (deagreasing) and putting some hi-temperature sealant (silicone gasket) around the edges of phase/crank sensor. I didn't remove anything. No leak since then (6.000 km ). Small hand and long fingers are helpfull...
