The Mandello Meteor is prepped and loaded and we`re heading out to Bonneville Monday night, Sept 15th. Racing runs Wednesday thru Saturday Sept 16-19 at The World of Speed which is a SCTA sanctioned event hosted by the USFRA. We will be teaming up and pitting with Tom Liberatore, Chief Wrench and Piloto for the very fast yellow V7 Sport Pepperoni Bros Moto Guzzi. Any and all Guzzisti are of course welcomed to drop in for a cool drink if passing thru towards a rally or in the area. We`ll be staying at the Knights Inn in Wendover Utah, 435-665-7744. Weather is predicted to be partly cloudy, dry and in the low 80`s during the day, the salt is currenty dry.

The Meteor will run in the Modified Partial Streamlined Pushrod Gasoline 1000cc class with the same 973cc motor as last year with no internal changes. A borrowed EV rear end from Mark at MG Classics should help with the gearing this year and allow the motor to spin in the sweet spot, around 8300, in 5th, which should get us over 170 mph with alot of luck and good conditions. The current MPS-PG record is 169.2 mph , held by a Buell built in the factory`s Product Development Division.
I`m not sure which class Tom is going to run in yet, but his V7 Sport will be a real threat to the current SCTA 750 cc pushrod records!
Thank You to all that have helped and encouraged us.
