Several people have asked about the windscreen. It's the factory windscreen from a V11 Sport. My dealer (Moto International in Seattle) had an extra one laying around and I bought it for cheap. Unfortunately, due to the larger size of the B11 headlamp, the screen does not bolt right up and I had...
I filled up my '06 B11 this morning and noticed that the gauge only went to 3/4 full. To my knowledge, this is the first time it hasn't displayed correctly. Has anyone attempted to replace the sensor themselves? How big a job is it?
I used this procedure last night. I've never done valves before. Very simple and easy. In fact, changing the inner set of plugs turned out to be way harder. I won't feel any trepidation about doing it myself next time. Thanks everyone.
(If only my wife's Ducati was as easy to adjust. I will NOT...
I think my Breva 1100 is having a milder form of this same problem. Engine slows and stumbles and sometimes stalls when closing the throttle with the clutch in. I've taken to keeping just a bit of throttle on while I pull the clutch lever and then close it completely after a couple of seconds...
Yes, I'm interested in one for my '06 Breva. Can you give us some idea of the price? Will you give price breaks if we buy it as part of a shock absorber, Power Commander, and a crossover package? :)
Okay, assuming I'm able to find/make a replacement part, how do you remove the bezel to get at the broken one? As near as I can tell, it looks like I need to remove the instrument cluster from the top triple clamp and then remove the two screws from the back of the instrument cluster. Will that...
While out on a ride recently, I noticed that the gauge glass was cracked on the left side of my instrument cluster. Don't know how it happened as nothing came in contact with it that I can remember.
Does anyone have any experience replacing the gauge glass on a Breva? Is the glass available...
Here's my wife's Nevada outfitted for touring with a Givi windscreen and Cortech bags
Here's my Breva. We were getting ready for a week-long trip through western BC.
Finally, here's the two of them together. These pictures were taken a couple of years ago. I've since traded in my small...
Don't get me wrong: I'm working hard to find a new job and there are plenty of projects around the house for me to work on, but now that the weather's getting nice (finally!), I want to start doing some day rides with all of this free time I have. Looking for others in my situation...
Yeah, and I can tell you from experience that it's hard as hell to locate replacement bolts for the side stand when they vibrate out. They don't have a Guzzi replacement part number and are not available from your dealer. If they vibrate out, you're on your own.
I think it's intended to match a popular color from the BMW touring bike catalog.
I've seen it in person and I thought it was a bit classier than simple silver, red, or black.
What kind of gear problems? My 750 was sometimes a little sticky going from first to second, but I haven't heard of any notable transmission problems endemic to the Breva 750.
Has anyone explored the possibility that there may be variability in the fuel pump pressure from one bike to another? 'Seems like that would be a simple explanation for why some bikes knock and others don't, all else being equal.
There are a lot of misconceptions about octane in gasoline. Kiwi Dave addressed one that I wasn't aware of. Another is the idea that high octane gas is more powerful than regular. It's not. Octane is an ignition inhibitor and is used to both prevent preignition and slow down the explosion in the...
In the U.S., I think 92 octane is the highest available unless you start buying race gas.
In addition to getting the throttle bodies balanced as suggested earlier, what about adding octane boost to the tank after each fill up? Are there any negative effects to consider when using octane...
I have an 06 Breva 1100 and I have terrible problems with knocking in the engine when I pour on the coal. I'm using 92 octane fuel and the bike has about 6K miles on it. It's not a huge problem in day to day driving, but on those occasions when I'm trying to pass someone or accelerate while...
Count me as another Breva owner who's experienced this problem. It started in September after about 6 months of ownership and has happened a total of about 6 times since then. The Warning light comes on after the ignition is turned on and the self-check process is complete but before the engine...
Oca, that looks like the exact same screen I have. Mine was made for the V11 and so I have to find a way to bring the mounting hole up, back and out for it to fit properly. Was that your experience, or was the correct mounting hardware included in your kit?
Just a follow up: the wheels are, in their current, OEM state, powder coated from the factory, right?. In order to powder coat them a different color, do I need to have the current finish removed, or can I powder coat over the current finish?
