    dead 2012 Stelvio Help?

I thought the ground connected at the top of the starter but it would appear it is at the bottom but there is one attached at the top too so not quite sure.

    dead 2012 Stelvio Help?

As it turns out I just found the problem. The cable that connects to the underside of the starter had been disturbed when I removed the starter cover in order be able to move the header far enough to get the header out of the Y pipe and replace the gasket. The wires that go to the 02 sensor are...

    Tyres again

Actually the E07 works amazingly well in the wet. I'm on my third set and have no issue riding in rain as fast as I dare to run for visibility. They really suffer very little on wet surfaces. Much better than any other tire I have ever run. Not to mention the great life I get out of them...

    Finding the right tires

As much as the Mitas are chunkier than Anakees or tourances they hold the road just as well. I have run both on this bike after I only got 5k out of the OEM tires. These have lasted longer for me than any of the others I have run. And yes I can scrape pegs with them when so inclined. The Mitas...

Wheel Upgrade - is it worth it

Well... lolI'm expecting to get better than 20,000 Km out of them.... so better life than a TKC, Tourance, or Anekee. Lots of notice when pushing the limits..... don't suddenly let go... more start to drift. Speed has not been an issue for me.I'm really liking them.

Wheel Upgrade - is it worth it

"So, newish 4.25" ready to go on, needs a new tyre. So now the question is what tyres?"My suggestion....mitas E07Scrape pegs on pavement and play in the dirt with confidence!Sand was too soft to use the stand so I had to dig a hole so the bike would sit by itself...

Wheel Upgrade - is it worth it

I changed the rear on my 09 Stelvio and would not consider going back.Turn in is sharper with no noticeable down side.Much better tire selection available with longer lasting and/or more aggressive tread tires easily available for typically lower cost per tire.Made a massive improvement in...

    valves and fuel consumption...

    Fuel seepage woes

Go one step farther and remove the whole canister assembly / plumbing and route the overflow / vent down to the bottom of the bike and plug the connections at the cylinders.Helps with low speed / partial throttle smoothness as well.

Rain-testing the Stock CARC Vent - Myth Busting ?

Well.... I have not torn into it but..... (knocking on wood etc) I am now about 4000Km after the incident. Thus far I have no leakage, no play, no noises and doesn't seem to run any hotter than before.So... to my knowledge it appears to have survived intact.

Rain-testing the Stock CARC Vent - Myth Busting ?

800 + miles on interstate over 2 days really mixes the fluids up I guess.
