Cal1400 REGISTRY & Pics thread - ADD YOUR BIKE

Thanks for the pic Carl. I copied it here. Hope you'll add your VIN# and related for the first post of this thread. Enjoy, and see you here often.

Hello everyone,
after a long search I finally bought an Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring
The first registration was in 2021, it is still under warranty, it has traveled 10,000 km.
I am very satisfied, it is exactly what I was looking for.
VIN ZGULVE009GM200290

20230615_161130.webp20230615_161146.webp

2018 Eldorado
VIN ZGULCUB18JM000028
Purchased used in 2023 from NH (believe original owner in VT) with 3,558 miles
Now lives in Utah

Thanks to Todd and all here for sharing - planning to do the cap SAS and moaning whale mods soon. Long term I may investigate doing Todd's PC6 tune and the slip ons. Would consider riding it down to the shop in Southern California, have family that live close to the Ponda I should visit.

No issues to report! Changed oil and gave it the once over. I am getting used to it but can see what people report on being finnicky at the lower RPM range, but overall nothing that can't be solved with the above mods or learning the intricacies of this bike's clutch!

One question for those here - I noticed that this bike really wants to move once shifted into second gear, is that experience similar to others here?

Ich bin schon immer Oldtimer gefahren. Honda 750 KZ, 900 Bol d'or, Kawasaki Z650, BMW R45.
Letztes Jahr sollte es bequem sein und so bin ich zum Kalifornien gekommen.
Gute Wahl.

Sehr gut. Können Sie hier im ersten Beitrag Ihre Fahrgestellnummer und Ähnliches hinzufügen?

Thanks for posting the info. Care to list your City and purchase month?
Very welcome on the info shared here from me. You have no idea yet of how good the engine can be until uncorked with intake/fueling/exhaust. The Power thread below hints to it.

Salt Lake City, UT - Purchased in May this year

Hello. Just bought this 2018 Audace with 800 miles on it. It'll live in Boulder, Colorado.

Now to figure out where on the site to ask about the various little things I'll want to do right away (e.g., LED headlight bulb and turn signals!).

Greetings!!
Moises Galvez from Northwest Indiana (Chicago Land)
A 2014 Moto Guzzi California Touring (ZGULVC009EM200033) was purchased in April at: Kissell Motorsports in Tyrone, PA.
I have been contemplating this bike since its inception but only had “room”for one bike, so I sold my 2016 BMW R1200R premium last year and casted my line for the Guzzi. Although I enjoyed the Beamer and its sporty and modern amenities…. I longed for the more classic, capable, cruiser style that the California exudes.
At this point I am looking at customizing her to me and exploring her full potential by shopping at Todd’s store. I am new to Guzzis, so I will probably need and appreciate some help along the way. My California came with Mistral cans installed (which sound nice to my unbiased ears), a black 50L top box and what appears to be the short windscreen.
As alluded to above, I would like to:
—address the fueling issues,
—locate a tall windscreen,
—and if I can raid the piggy bank…. a full exhaust (to rid myself of the faulty H-pipe). Thank you and see you on the road.

Saludos Moisés. May our paths cross sometime. I travel often to Hobart to visit my in law. Planning to do it in the Cali soon.
