I have a V100s with 860 miles on the clock and the paint is starting to flake on the crankcases.
Has anyone else encountered this on their V100?
My dealer is contacting MG about this and Iā€™ll report back on this forum on the verdict.
Ride safe everyone.

If any one else has had this problem please can you let me know if you managed to get a resolution with your dealer / Moto Guzzi.
Iā€™m hoping for a positive outcome, but how can it be resolved / repaired Iā€™m not quite sure. Itā€™s either an engine strip and new crankcases or a re-paint.
Itā€™s such a shame on a new bike that I love riding. šŸ¤” 1712985668063

Thanks Carolus I did my best to read the forum using Google translate.
I will have to see what MG says about my flaking paint.

Guys, read the scrolling paragraphs at the top of the page regarding hyperlinks to take people away from this site. Itā€™s all I do these days here is chase and revise them because no one will read the simple and basic requests for use of this privately funded website.

I think the idea is to remove the ā€œhttpā€¦ā€ from the link so as to make it that people have to copy and paste it into their browser, thereby avoiding chargeable traffic to GTM for people basically websurfing.

Thatā€™s a very reasonable request that we should all comply with.

GTM pays for every bit and byte passing through his servers.

Is a UK GS site considered a competing website? If so I'll remove my post.
Per what Scott wrote. I pay for everything you see here, and all clicks/traffic. Whatā€™s the point of me doing so if everyone is simply/easily linking people away so those sites benefit, while I pay for it. Hyperlinks do that. Simply remove the http://www.
Free social media sites have caused this, and I donā€™t have a zillion ads here, including in between posts like most all others do.

You learn something every day. I wasn't aware of that at all. Thanks for the explanation gents.

I didn't either. I wondered why my link to an expresso maker was an issue when it wasn't a competing product for anything sold on this site. Now I know.

You have to open your eyes here and realize what you see, or more importantly, what you donā€™t see.

Go to Wildgoose Guzzi website someday. You will be blasted with so much goddamn advertising it is truly sickening. You cannot even follow a simple thread without getting dragged through an advertising quagmire.

That Luap guy that owns that cesspool then sells your every move there to tons of advertisers who then follow and track and record your every move on the internet and then sells your information again and again.

There is ZERO advertising here. Nobody bombards you with advertising crap, and nobody sells your info to anybody.

However, in a business internet hosting environment, you are charged for every single bit/byte that moves through your hosting companies servers. Everything is a chargeable event.

So, if GTM didnā€™t manually edit those prohibited hyperlinks out of here, everyday and multiple times a day, his costs would skyrocket and reoccur over and over with every subsequent click on those hyperlinks!

Business website hosting is not evenly remotely like your home internet. You donā€™t pay just one monthly fee and get unlimited throughput and data.

It absolutely does not work that way at all.

Please look for hyperlinks as you surf the forums and send a private conversation message to the author if you see it, asking them to please remove the http://www.

This is in the rotating information screens at the top of every page, but nobody bothers to read the rules.

They just assume that anything goes around here.

There is Guzzi history to this, as I had a new 2002 LeMans with the matt engine paint and it started to fall off after blistering and Guzzi offered several options, the first was a full set of luggage including racks and tank bags, the second was a full carbon accessories package, the third was a Moto Guzzi Gore Tex suit and the fourth (and there may have been more), was an engine strip and repaint, which I initially considered, until I was in the dealers workshops and saw about 4 engines in various states of disassembly, within inches of each other on a dusty shelf, with scattered parts in between. I chose the suit. It was a wonderfully waterproof suit for about 6 years and I eventually watched all of the paint come off the engine and I just left it raw aluminium. That paint will fall off in chunks imo and probably sooner or later. Hopefully it can be resolved to your satisfaction.

Thanks BrianR Iā€™m not sure if you have cheered me up or not?
However Iā€™m not down in the tooth yet, I just need to see what MG intend to do to rectify the situation.
Iā€™ll post on here once I know. šŸ¤ž

The dealer that I spoke of has long gone out of business and I know if this occurred with my local dealer they would do the right thing, and indeed my best friends partner has just bought a V100, so I'll be keeping a close eye.
