I had this a year ago. Dealer put in a warranty claim to MG who sent a paint repair kit. My crankcases are now perfect and have been like that for a year.
A quick update on my flaking paint. I went to my dealers today who has just received a paint kit from Moto Guzzi.
The dealer has to pay for the paint kit then get a quote from a local engine painting expert then submit the quote to Moto Guzzi who then looks at the dealers photos of the flaking issues and then hopefully authorises the work to be carried out.
Phew itās all quite a long process me thinks
Anyway my dealer and myself have agreed to get the repaint done when the uk riding season is over (October / November ish)
Ride safe everyone and Iāll post again once the repair / painting is completed.
Well my crankcases are finally done. My V100 went into my dealer 5 weeks ago ( I had a loan bike from them for the 5 weeks) and today I picked it up all done and looking good. My dealer Robinsons Foundry in Canterbury U.K, have facilitated a good job on the repair.
It was a shame that it was raining on my 55 mile ride to home as I now have to clean my bike again. Ride safe everyone.
