Thought I would join this community and learn a little about MG specifically the V7 - Totally enamored with the V7 Special E5 in Blue.
Im hearing all sorts of things like, parts are hard to get, nobody works on them, blah blah blah. Currently riding an Enfield Classic 350, first bike for me and Im in my 50's but no stranger to all sorts of machines. Had the muscle cars, hot rods, ran an automotive shop in the 80's, boating for over 30 yrs and looking to expand into motorcycling. Ive managed to put almost 10k miles on my bike since Aug and I think I'm gonna like motorcycling :)
My Irish BIL cant understand why an Italian like me rides a "British" bike and not an Italian one like a Guzzi or a Ducati. - LOL
So here I am trying to decide whether its gonna be the Interceptor, Bonneville, or the Guzzi as my next bike.

Congrats and welcome to the GT Forum.
You'll find all you need to know in the V7 section. They are quite durable, and easy to maintain. Our sister site (GTM) on the STORE tab above, can get you virtually anything quickly outside of Holidays, and we have an immense list of true upgrades. You have to be a bit of a hands-on guy, which it sounds like you are, as dealer support is not something most anyone owning one can really count on. Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, but good dealer support is if you buy new. Be forewarned, Guzzis are addictive.
Go ride one. Enjoy, and hope you land one soon. The other brands are a bid of a yawn in comparison. ;)

Hi LiGuy.
I'm with Vagrant on this. Servicing is straightforward, bits are simple to source and Todd has a wealth of experience and as he says, the GTM shop.
Guzzi owner since 1981. Love 'em.

Well thanks for the info guys, I feel better about getting the V7 already :)
I also like hearing that the V7 is something that a person with a capable set of hands can work on, as the dealers by me are far and few between.
