Moto Guzzi V100 Review & First Impressions

I have been waiting like an excited puppy for Moto Guzzi to launch the V100 Mandello and for it to get to the dealers for demo rides. My local dealership Brighton Moto very kindly got in touch with me to offer me a demo on the absolutely stunning and ground breaking Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello and boy oh boy, what a bike it is.

Hi took it out today ,much impressed ,maybe don't need gizmos in green one ,have duc MTs 1200,yam xvz1300,regr 650,kwak z650 1981,guzzi 1100 sport

Hi all! I did a testride today on V100S and fell in love with it. Made a video of it, manly for myself to drool.... but I think it may have your interest as well. Wrote down some comments, sorry for some spelling mistakes or other faults, did not check is before uploading....

Yes ,although I bit dear with gizmos ,not sure I need quickshifter ,can ride fast enough all these years withou on ducati multitrada 1200 ,10 years old now ,so maybe time to use new guzzi for longer France trips this year liote and Corsica ..

Thank you for this video! It still sounds like a Guzzi.... I was worried about that one 😜

Yeah, the sound is glorious, although I bet with some aftermarket cans it would sound even better, but it doesn't need them!

Aye, is kinda cool seeing them pop out, and you can set the speed they deploy at as well.

Do the pop out wings actually make a difference? To my eye they look too small and I cannot see how making the wind different for my belly is actually a worthwhile thing.

I think they would mainly be of benefit in the rain or on longer runs. It is amazing how much a small change to a screen etc can make to turbulence, noise and comfort on a bike... just look at the bolt on screen deflectors lots of people fit to their bikes.
I wasn't really on the bike long enough to make up my mind re the wings, but they are quite cool.... 🙃

Second video with the V100S, now with some dry (but cold and windy) weather.
And some twisties.

Have you had a chance to ride the base model vs the S. Wondering how much difference in ride quality there is. I am not sure if a quick shifter is needed on this bike but my first take would be that I don't think I need that particular farkle. But heated grips would be a nice addition for sure. In 50 years of riding I've never had them, nor a quick shifter. Test rode a bike with a quick shifter and didn't like the way tranny felt for a 18,000 mile used bike. The Kawasaki 1000SX

In the US, that would be a one-way road. Y‘all have cars, bikes and pedestrians sharing what looks like about 20 feet wide In two-way traffic. Cool.

Really !!
i was thinking it way a single lane roadway initially, until we saw the oncoming traffic ?
That would a few exciting first miles of your rind in the Netherlands !

Nice tour Pippen !

I had a test ride on the base v100 this week and the suspension was the only disappointment, although I'm sure with time the settings can be adjusted to suit. The preload adjuster knob on the rear is handy, but I couldn't see how to adjust the damping on it.
