UpMap Q&A

That is the issue the Samsung is not seeing the UpMap device, its saying its found the device but then freezes.
Sent email to you yesterday also Todd on this with a photo

you must have both location and wifi enabled on your mobile phone, when you open the upmap application it will ask you to enable bluetooth

Having this issue with mine, despite 8 attempts now , nothing, battery is fine, wifi good etc. just refuses to go past the 'founded device' screen then nothing happens , longest I left it was 30mins! then recharged bike battery. Anyone got any suggestions?
Make sure you have good reception and dont stand too far away from the device. If I have crappy reception my applications spazzes out and says it doesn't recognise the VIN. What model Samsung do you have?

Samsung Model Galaxy A31
Im going to give it a go this weekend using sons I Phone and see if that works, outside of that Im out of options.
Thanks for the reply

Has anyone seen Upmap provide a code in the OBD Errors page? Or does this feature even work for the V7 Special 850?

UpMap cannot reset the service icon. I have yet to see an error code for my V7 850 but that’s because it hasn’t yet triggered one I imagine. The function is available and I see no reason why it wouldn’t work.

To be clear, the “check engine light” will turn off after clearing the error codes and turning the ignition switch off and back on. To my knowledge, the “wrench” symbol that indicates the need for routine maintenance (oil change, etc.) cannot be reset using UpMap.

ok thanks, when many tuners remap the ECU they keep the lambda probes active claiming that there are no problems but rather they help to keep closed cycle petrol consumption low up to 3500 rpm

It would be a shame to keep working with the probes.
The slightly rich operation of these engines is so much more pleasant and especially at low revs, low opening.

certainly, but can't you set the control unit to operate a little richer but controlled by the lambda probes?

No, it would be really complicated to find and modify part of the program...
There are programmable probes, adaptable with an additional electronic box, it is expensive and complicated for very little interest compared to a just rich setting.
What is appreciable here is that there is no additional electronic box
