V100S Reliability

My V100S has just over 7,000 miles since I picked it up in April, and it has been completely reliable. I've got its 3rd set of tires waiting to go on it pretty soon.

My Mandello is not my only bike, so the mileage does get spread around. :)

Mine's a bit earlier US -- 0140, and it's apart and waiting for parts at the dealer's on a warranty claim, thanks to the dastardly clamps / hoses coolant leak. At least, it's still winter-like in SoCal; I have a trip to Oregon scheduled in June, and want to ride it mercilessly to flush out any other gremlins way before that trip...

It seems that there isn't a pattern as to which bikes have the clamp/leak problems. Kind of the luck of the draw.

Don't buy it! I like being the only person I've seen riding one around 😁. But seriously I can't remember which reviewer said it, but the gist was he wasn't sure what he thought when first started riding it, but the more time he had the more he really liked it.

As for reliability, mine has been solid but I don't have a ton of miles yet. Over a 1k but I don't remember how many over. Dealer prep makes a difference to. The dealer I got mine from did all the recalls and hose clamps before I picked it up.

I test rode a 2023 V100S yesterday and really liked the bike.

That being said I am buying the bike to tour on in the USA and I am a little concerned about reliability.

I would be going on rides with friends so the last thing I want is mechanical issues that cause delays for the group.

Would love comments on owners who have put miles on their bikes.

Also, trying to see how common that coolant leak issue is and if it has been addressed by Moto Guzzi.

Thanks!

I love the bike Skent. I love it so much that i just got a new one after my first one was taken out c me on board . My crashedbike did not have any issues in its 15,400 miles. No leaks/faulty clamps, no sensors, nothing.
I think you will love the bike, especially a newer version with resolved teething problems. But again, mine did not have any.

Oh Man! Sorry to hear a fellow V100 and valley resident went down. I'm at 13,300 as of today cruising around the Phoenix area. Glad your okay and getting another V100!

Thank you Jon. It was in Payson coming down from Winslow. A confused, disoriented, LICENSED, elderly snowbird.
