I hope this isn't double dipping, four months after "getting" this for my 70th birthday I have spent all available funds and am done for now. When I wear out the tyres I plan to fit radials and powder coat the wheels and valve covers. Here is a list of the changes so far:
Solo seat
Narrowed bars
Oberon bar end mirrors
Givi crash bars
Mega recut windscreen
Temp reading dipstick
Factory center stand
Vinyl graphics
Removed turn signal spacers
Aluminum injector covers
Long Mistral mufflers
ECU reflash
And for those who are sitting on the fence about the ECU reflash, as someone who has spent a small fortune racing a Guzzi at Bonneville (I quit counting at $20K) I am here to tell you that this is a bargain, Todd has done some amazing work and you'll know it the first time you hit the rev limiter, wee!
Mr. Pepperoni, tell me more about the Narrowed bars bars please. What did ya do? How did ya do it. How has it affected handling? I like my bike and my women to be slim and trim....

I've done this with all my bikes, first loosen the switchgear and hand controls and slide them in as far as they will go, then chop off the excess. You will have to drill a new hole for the throttle locating pin on the right handlebar. You can also see where I chomped off the locating tang on the master cyl so that I could rotate the control forward for comfort. I too, find smaller bikes and women way more maneuverable.

Just careful with those things for these two reasons, that maybe you already know, but others may not:
1. You’ll be in panic mode every time you look at it.
2. The dipstick will break off at some point and drop into the pan.
While I do not want to contradict the Jedi Master, my results have differed. I do agree that you will see some hot temps in the summer [part of the reason that I did the reflash]. I have used temp reading dipsticks since '81 and not suffered a failure, my last one went through a catastrophic 143mph wrist pin failure that pretty much split the motor in two, the only thing holding it together is the banana'ed camshaft. A lot of stuff did end up in the pan though, pretty much everything but the dipstick!
My wife, Jane's customised 2014 V7 Stone, 26,267 miles to date. Back on the road today after a short lay-up during which we fitted a new front tyre, new front brake disc, new fork gaiters, changed the fork oil and brake fluids.
