Hello - did you use the HB lift handle for the Bobber/Roamer? I don't see one for the VIII
 
Big month for me... Never owned a Guzzi.
Now in the span of a few weeks. I am the owner of a v7 sport and a brand new v7 Centenario

I am interested in a 2012 V7 racer and when I check the VIN I get its a v7 Classic
Does that make sense? The tank is black not chrome. Did they come with black tanks as well as chrome on 2012 MY?

Louis, see the first post of this thread. Yes the 2012 Racer had a black tank. You'll likely find plenty of pictures in this thread. This isn't Facebook, so take some time to skim, search and read. Please also read the two paragraphs in red above. I've deleted the offending post.

I wrapped the pipes on “the other bike” to see if it would keep things moving and * Supposedly * improve flow and cool things down a bit.
It has a dipstick oil temp gauge- I was keepin track, but there were too many variables, in the end I’d don’t know if it helped or hindered.

Good ride in Texas today on my V7 Stone S and my dad's new Kawasaki W800 . If you have a chance to get a windscreen for the V7 and do any 65mph + riding, get one! First time riding with it today and what a nice difference.
