NOTICE: Starting March 24th, we've shifted to a mandatory user Account upgrade (donation) to post here. Once you've created an account, see the SITE SUPPORT section at the bottom on how to upgrade. This is to help try and cover site costs, and reduce redundant and argumentative posts. Search and read before staring a new thread, most topics are well covered here. We still require ONE post in the Intro section (bottom of the main Forum section list) to introduce yourself: NO QUESTIONS THERE - THEY WILL BE DELETED. Small $ donations via our link above will not be considered. Also to NOTE, the owner of this website lost his home in the LA Wildfire storm in January; See the USA section for more details. Your consideration and understanding on use of this site is expected. It's NOT a free social media platform - decades of time and personal money are invested. We have a zero tolerance policy on attacks. Do NOT write us direct and ask questions unrelated to the Forum, we do not offer Tech support direct, they will be deleted.
I'm bought and am picking up a nice customized racer as soon as the snow melts (36" of snow today!). I'm a tad short and tippy toe it.
If I shape the foam and lessen it, won't the original fabric be incredibly stretched to fill the void of missing foam? Wouldn't cover start to wear or tear earlier? If not... that's great!
I guess I'm wondering if just ordering vinyl and recovering it might be the better way to go?
Who is a happy boy then!
Arrived at work yesterday . New Vll with 5km on it. I have been riding an auto Vespa for the last few years so i think i might do an Auto to Manual refresher course before getting too adventurous. Its been a long time since i have needed a clutch!
Guessing you might be. Congrats! Be sure to post your VIN# and other info on the first post of this thread. Welcome to the GT Forum and Famiglia... post often.

Never understood how someone buys a bike and only puts 2000 miles one it. I put 5K on my Caponord since Oct 16, and 700 on my V7 since 2/25/17. And I don't even regularly commute!

I put fewer miles on mine than almost anyone. ~1,400 after 24 months. I commute to work on it daily however. Issue is I work 2 miles from home. Weekends are filled with a variety of interests like running, tennis, golf, tandem bicycling, and I try to fit a ride on my V7 in there somewhere......we usually take it to tennis. :>
