V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

I will get one eventually. I have spent too many $'s on farkles for V100 already. Waiting for the latest which is in transit from Italy. Can't justify anything else at the moment and have a ways to go before the wrench makes it's appearance.

Received 21st. Tried it out today. Excellent. So far I think it's easy enough to use. I'll hook it up to the laptop and bike tomorrow and see if there are any updates.

Although the service light was not yet showing on my V7 850 Special, I reset it using the tool, received today. This makes sense to me because those of us who don’t do many miles and service the bike annually should be able to cancel the service light coming on in 6,000 miles time. I have no doubt that it would have cancelled a lit service light. There’s a lot of functions even for the relatively basic V7 850. Impressive.

Excellent. Thanks for posting. I am trying to secure exclusivity for Guzzi here, so thanks for not posting the device/brand. People LOVE to go around me for purchase, and I’ve done a lot of work to make sure these work as promised.

Has anyone on this forum besides the pro Guzzi techs had one of the tools long enough to try other functions besides the service icon reset? If so, could you list what you've used it for and also give your thoughts on ease (or not) of using the tool?

Also, my dealer (AF-1 Racing in Austin) told me they'll reset the service icon gratis and w/o an appointment, so hopefully no one who is close to a dealer is getting these just to reset the service icon. Seems like a great tool for anyone who plans on doing a lot of their own work though.

AF-1 may reset for no charge, but it is up to the individual dealer. Some/most will probably charge. The PADS license isn't cheap and the dealer has to recoup the expense.

It showed those errors on the Diagnosis and it allows me to delete them yes.
And it also gives live data with the engine running.
