V9 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

V9 Bobber bought new 2022 but it's a 2017
Thanks for the photo. I scanned the Registry info you quoted, but didn't see where you added your VIN# and related. Hope you will.
Guzzis have minor flaws on occasion. You'll find most in this section that can often be prevented. Enjoy.

Vin: ZGULHA005GM001754 - Dan - Cottingham, England - received from Via motos in Sheffield.
Go round Scotland once a year and always a pleasure.
Thanks for posting Dan! Date of purchase?

Hi all, after my brief love affair with the Daytona 1000 a couple years ago, I'm back in here with the new (to me) 2017 V9 Bobber.
Picked her up with only 300km (yes, that's right) on the clock. I actually like it as it is, but for the next little while I'll be checking the existing threads for tips/tricks/ideas.
No point posting pics of a stock bike for the time being. Maybe later, when things change.

Cheers,
Mark G.

Love to get your VIN# and related for the first post of this thread. Enjoy.
Working on it :)
In the meantime, is there a thread comparing the E4- and E5-generation engines?
The E5 output listed by MG is quite an improvement over the E4; I'm curious what they've done in order to get that result.

ps.: SEARCH doesn't allow e.g. E4 and such phrases, I tried.
Thanks in advance.

This is my third foray into Guzzi territory. Started with a '14 Cali Custom that I regret selling every week. Then I gave a Griso a shot, but the ergos didn't quite work out. Bought this '18 Roamer from a gentleman near Sacramento the other day and have about 200 miles of seat time this weekend.

I have thoughts for other strings in the for other strings in the forum, but there pertinents are:
- ZGULHU005HM000039
- Name: Lucius
- City/State: Vacaville, CA.
- Purchased: 11/11/23

The seating position on the V9 Roamer is pretty good for now. I'm finding that my butt is on the strap that goes across the rear of the seat. For this reason, I don't think a V-9 Bobber would have worked for me at all. I also have a shorter seat to try out, but my initial thinking is that it's going to push me up too close to the tank. My knees are at a sharper angle than I thought they would be, but nothing uncomfortable. I think what I'm going to do is purchase a seat cover to modify things to more of a straight bench seat, putting some memory foam in there during that process to raise things up half an inch or so. I'm curious if there are other ideas that members in the forum have had that might point me in a different direction.

I sold the California because was going through a time when there was pressure in the house to reduce to just one motorcycle. In the stable was the '14 Cali Custom and a '15 V-Strom 1000. Wanting to travel the Western U.S. on paved and dirt roads, an ADV made more sense than a cruiser, so I opted for a '18 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports. I combined the funds from the Cali and the V-Strom to get the Africa Twin. I really liked the white, red, and blue color scheme and the DCT was a great experience. I kept that for a couple of years until I tore my Achilles and realized that the bike was going to be too much for me to pick up by myself with one good leg were I out in the middle of nowhere and had a drop.

Right, thanks. Be great to get your VIN# and related for the first post here. Bike photos are quite boring without the owner in the shot! ;)

Yes, but with the same crappy Korean forks. :(

Crappy is relative to the skills of the rider, right? For 90% of the riders, they will be served just fine by the stock stanchion tubes.

After all...What do people want for the sub $10k range anyway? Right?
