    V1000 oil drips??

Before you do anything else check the torque on all of the bolts on the front of the engine. I had the same thing happen on my 17' Bobber and found three on the timing cover on the left side to be loose. Tightened them to spec and no more oil drip.

    V9 Roamer

My experience with the leftover 2017 V9 Bobber I purchased in 2019 new has been pretty much the same as you are seeing with your Romer. I have never had a small block Guzzi prior to this bike having owned and ridden big block Guzzis for many years with the five speed trany common to those...

    V9 Oil In Air Box

Thanks guys. That is exactly what the case is. I am at the full mark so its overfilled. I will shoot for hot oil level between MIN and MAX on the next oil change. Should be doing that fairly soon.

    V9 Oil In Air Box

Happen to notice oil in the clear plastic tube on the air box today on my 2017 V9 Bobber. I have checked this from time to time over the last year since doing the first service early last year at 900 miles (4900 on bike now.) and it was always dry. So this was a bit of a surprize. Opened up the...

    V9 factory shock question

You need to download the Service and Engine manuals for the V9. You can find them on the Downloads tab here. All of the detailed information you need for servicing the bike and engine/transmission are in them. There is no way to make the OEM shocks better by adjustment. They need to be replaced...

2012 stelvio will it have roller cam

Oh yea, Have your guy that will be looking at the bike have the owner pull a valve cover and take a few pics. Post them up and it will be easy to tell what they are.

2012 stelvio will it have roller cam

If it is indeed a 2012 it most likely will have flat tappets. The factory change over was in late 2012 and there were some 12's that got rollers but very few. Here in the US I think that the Green was on the 2013 bikes and were factory rollered. The 2012 machines came in either black or Orange trim.

Nice discount on new 2017 V9 Bobber

I picked up my 2017 V9 Bobber last year from Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati for $6000 out the door. The 2020 Bobber Sport has upgraded suspension and a few other differences like seat and handlebar position. Not sure with out looking but they are not the same. I do believe that the engine and drive...

RPM at speed in gear #

As a rule of thumb on my tachless V9 I just check the mirrors. If it's lugging they are blurred and when not they are pretty clear. Using the mirror check and feel I have found the best speeds to run in for the gear I am in.

    First bike; used 2017 V9 or new 2019 V7iii

Interesting. I have had my V9 Bobber for about a year now and have almost 3k miles on it. It has the same mods as your V7, GTM SS Megs, SAS kit, evap removal and Todds reflash using the tool. After getting some break in miles on it I started pushing it up into the rev range. I ride with a...

    V85TT trans failure--help?

Did you measure the amount or just make an estimation? Just wondering if it was under filled just how much underfilled it was. I did not measure the amount when I did my own first service on my V9 and just refilled with the amount listed in the service manual. The amount did appear small but...

    V9 Gearbox whine

As a first time small block owner (V9 Bobber) but having owned many later model big block Guzzis I thought I might add some observations. Yes the V9 has a distinct gear whine that you don't encounter with the big block five speed transmissions. It stood out right off for me. And at the first...

    aftermarket exhausts

I just did my V9 Bobber last week. Set of Todd's SS Megs and used the flash tool and support. Received the megs and tool on a Friday at about 1pm and was able to install the muffs, complete reflash and test ride the bike around 10am on Saturday morning. Once your flash tool has been shipped you...

    V9 Bobber Exhaust Upgrade

Received my GTM SS Megs and Flash Tool yesterday a bit after noon. Very impressed with the workmanship on the Megs. Got the units installed and using the flash tool was able to get the bike reflashed and ready to test ride this morning. Fantastic sound and over all improved riding experience...

    V9 Low Fuel Light

I didn't specify as the capacity of both the Romer and Bobber are the same. I checked to be sure with the shop manual to see for sure. And just used V9 in the thread title.

    V9 Low Fuel Light

Posted this a few other places and got some more feed back. Several of the responces were from others who had done to same type test that Dinsdale Piranha suggested. Over all it seems that everyones light comes on at aprox. 125 miles as mine does. So it is on when about 2.2 to 2.4 gallons have...

    V9 Low Fuel Light

How many miles do you usually go before the fuel light comes on? And how many miles have you ridden with the light on and counter running? Just looking to see what is up with my bike. The light comes on at around 125 miles. I haven't had to ride it more than 15 miles or so before filling up...

    2013 Norge 8V Service Code

A friend has a 13' Norge GT that has developed a starting problem. When start is pressed there is only a click and the dash goes out and displays red triangle and code ASPN002. If battery is disconnected and reconneccted for a reboot. Triangle and code are cleared and bike starts and runs. But...
