Final Drive Gear Oil Leaks V7 & V9

Bought my Bassa from ProItalia. And Dave B in SB ran a great little shop there with that imaginative German mechanic. Really like those guys.

Final Drive Gear Oil Leaks V7 & V9

Sounds like you have a great dealer. Dave Blunk of Sport Cycle Pacific by any chance?

    Edge Trim

Has anyone found a good match to the edge trim on the V7 Stone tank? It is called a gasket in the parts manual. It looks unfinished only going part of the way along the seam on both sides of the tank. Thanks!

    Yellow Paint, Etc.

I disagree! A notable exception is (was) Dave Richardson's Moto International in Seattle. Great guy, great dealership! I bought two Guzzis from Dave and still have my copy of Guzziology. Dave went to bat for me on a tank blistering warranty claim and installed a new one for me. Helped me out a...

    Yellow Paint, Etc.

Yeah, eventually found a checklist buried in the documents somewhere with nothing checked off and of course an empty line where my signature was supposed to be. And aired-up? Way too much - had to deflate to spec. Fuel? Just enough to get to the station a block away. And other issues I...

    Yellow Paint, Etc.

So I go to remove the two screws securing the lid to the rear brake reservoir and the whole reservoir moves - loosey-goosey. WTF? Inspection reveals the two mount bolts secured with nylocs are laughingly loose. And they each have the yellow paint mark, which I understand is supposed to...

    UpMap Q&A

Again, a BIG THANK YOU to Todd and Mayakovski for such timely and informed support of a flailing member. Good example of how lucky we are to have this site as a resource. What a great community!

Android phone. VPN yes, I think for AdGuard (ad blocker). You think that might be the culprit?

    UpMap Q&A

OK I give up. For now. Maybe someone has had a similar experience and can help. I was cruising merrily along (should have known too good to be true) after having registered and confirming the T800 serial number and at some point was presented with the login screen. I entered my registered...

    Openskies Pic Thread - CAN

Your pics have convinced me that I need to visit your neck of the woods. I've got it good here in Oregon, and been to BC several times, but wow, Alberta looks mighty tasty.

Was sure I was gonna bodge it

I rounded the heads trying to remove two M5 allen bolts on the left side spark plug covers on my Stone Ten. Could not believe it - WTF? - was being careful, and no problems with the ones on the right side. Got the sick-to-my-stomach feeling; how the hell am I gonna get those buggers out...

    NEW TIRES FOR THE V7-850

I replaced the stock bias-ply Road Classics with radial-ply Bridgestone T-32s. Very happy with the switch - absorption of road imperfections much better and sharper handling.

Not Good. No wait, never mind - a blessing in disguise.

Thanks for confirming my psi assumption. And not concerned about the shocks - got yours coming soon 😉.

Not Good. No wait, never mind - a blessing in disguise.

Riding my new V7 Stone home from the dealer last month I experienced a "juddering" sensation at speeds above 45/50 mph, kind of like riding over large washboard ridges. Rear tire/wheel or suspension issue? Rear tire over-inflated, so I adjusted to spec. Suspension felt VERY stiff, so I...

    V7 gas mileage

54 mpg on my new Stone Ten. I can live with that 😁.

    Huh?

OK, Todd - you're right. Looked at the pic in the link and I see the part that mates with my superfluous bracket. Mystery solved - thank you very much. Do I have to install a centerstand now?;)
