I’ll chime in briefly, as I am currently traveling (On my V100S). The comment about the TPMS is interesting, because I was just going to post that it really was a Godsend for me last Friday! I am on a trip to Arkansas for a rally of sorts, basically meeting other riders from various states and...
I understand. My best advice is to go ride one. I have never had an issue with the Mandello hard cases. And, with bag liners, I’ve only taken the hard bags off to clean the bike. But, they are super easy to put on/take off. Traveling is a breeze. I can do a 5 day trip with just the side bags and...
Just curious, was it running ok… had you noticed anything different? Smoothness, sound… Looks like something “cast” chipped, or cracked off inside. Good luck!
That’s a clean look. More than once, I have accidentally bumped into my (stock) turn signals while messing around in the garage… and knocked them askew. I assume yours illuminate in orange? Nice mods - I also see the rear hub guard😁.
If you can collect enough, maybe you can mix with water to see if they separate… confirming an oil material. Hard to imagine there being any liquid inside - weird🤔. Good luck!
Good luck!
Seems like a good plan. I suppose it’s wise (once one has “had enough”) to cut and run. It’s disheartening that so many have had issues with their bikes! I had a problem the day I drove mine home, but it turned out to be fine after that. Yesterday, I got it back from the 7500 mile...
Since Scott posted this thread re: V100 Maint intervals, I thought I’d put this post here. I just got my bike back from Cadre Cycles here in Cincinnati. I took it in for the 7500 miles service. And, while in the shop, had new Continental Road Attack 4 tires put on. They also did the clutch seal...
Yes, @Bill Hagan life IS good (blessed🙏)😁!
Not this time - it was closed - no one there! We stopped for the pic, since we there, and at that particular moment it wasn’t raining😂.
Well, rather than start a new thread, I’ll just add here… a buddy and I did ride a few days in NC, TN and GA. Rained quite a bit, - heavy at times - but, we got about 450 (mostly wet) miles in. I hadn’t ridden the V100S in heavy rain yet, despite being at 7300 miles. I’ll say wet handling was...
Awesome trip for you - congrats (and, great to hear the V100 did great!)!! Hopefully, you didn’t get to experience the incredible 200+ MPH winds possible at the top of Mt Washington! Welcome back👍😁
This is good advice… I usually do, in fact, make the NC trips after service (and, tires when needed). This trip came open yesterday, so I had to decide whether to go or not. I’m not as hard on them as @Florida lime , so they aren’t down to the “devil” yet😉. But, now you all got me paranoid… so...
Just a perfect day for 200 miles of great KY roads! If there are any here who travel KY RT 62 to (or from) Cynthiana, watch for a road closure. BUT, do take the re-route using 1504. @Bill Hagan recommended that stretch, and I’ve enjoyed it since - it’s a hoot! Watch for farm equipment though...
True that (me too!)! Although, since my RPM sensor failure on my first day, riding it home, it’s done well. Once stranded, it takes a bit to get that confidence back!
Good luck @Katie - keep us updated!
I concur with Scott. Sport Mode is good when you want to let the bike spread its wings (no Guzzi logo pun intended). I often joke with riding buddies… “don’t make me put this thing in Sport Mode!”😂 I ride a lot in Tour Mode if in relaxed pace groups.
@Dirk Nowitzki … I’ve had my V100S for a year now. I traded a Guzzi Norge and a pristine Ducati ST3S in for it. The Norge was a nice touring bike, and the ST3S a great handling “sporty” touring bike. I feel the V100 is a nice blend of the two. I wouldn’t lane split (I have panniers mounted), but...
