2021-on V7-850 E5 Performance thread

I’ve bought a Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber ‘Special edition’ (model year: 2023).
I’ve put some free flowing mufflers on it (no cat) and will remove the SAS unit and also put a K&N filter in.
No need to start a new thread. Please search and read… Merged with this thread since the motor is shared with the E5 V7. Start with the first post here. Your bike has two cats per side. Also covered in this section.

Ciao!

Was not sure if I need to post this on V7 850 mod thread or here.

Please excuse me if I made a mistake.

After changing my stock exhausts to Agostini exhausts (AMV7850), I am experiencing a weird RPM hiccup between 2500 to 3000 RPM.

This particular set of silencers does not have any integrated Euro 5 catalyst and I am using it with dB killers IN.

I do not think I experienced something like this when I testrode V7 850 Special with Mistral short exhausts.

Agostini did not mention anything regarding the ECU remap so I believe it is supposed to be used with stock ECU mapping.

Meanwhile, I have installed a few other modifications(Rapid Bike Easy, DNA Air Filter, Mistral Velocity Stack) but the RPM hiccup still continues.

I am considering ECU remap as a last solution since it will cause problems with the inspection.

How should I approach to fix this issue?

Thanks.

Read THIS. I would then suggest to directly ask those you purchased everything from as to why.
Beyond proper service specs, if 100% correct, a true ECU remap is the only way you can resolve it. Click on the STORE tab top of page for our proven options.

I *finally* have ECU access via the GTM BT FT, and the tuning has begun (only 2+ years to do it). I dyno-tuned @Zamp 's V7-850 yesterday, and added the dyno graph to the first post of this thread. UpMap's map for a full (cat-less) system needed a lot of work. I'll be doing more as I get access to them.

OMG that torqure increase and it just stays there this is impressive cant wait

I was gonna ask about updates on Monday night....but didn't because I figured I'd wait. Now I see this.

Can't wait to see what kind of tune we get for the 2025 moto guzzi v7 with the larger throttle body. If it is closer to the v85 tt output with mods that would make the v7 a near perfect bike, especially now that is has cruise control.
