As we used to joke at CW, what’s new? BNG (Bold New Graphics). But here go. We still haven’t seen or heard anything about the 850X posted about on another thread.

The 2023 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Special Edition has been revealed at the GMG – Guzzi World Days and the Città Della Moto Guzzi International Motorcycle Rally in Mandello del Lario.

Based on the standard V7 Stone, the Special Edition enjoys enhanced hard parts and styling. Dual Arrow exhausts add about one horsepower and one ft-lb of torque to the V-twin’s output, while looking purposeful in black. The new Shining Black paint is accented with red—thin stripes on the five-gallon tank, the V7 on the side panels, seat stitching, and the shocks’ springs. Details include bar-end mirrors, black-anodized billet aluminum gas cap, valve covers painted in a new graphite color, black-anodized aluminum throttle body covers, and a plate on the handlebar clamp commemorating the special edition.

No US dates or pricing set yet.

Different looking exhaust - cosmetic or separate components ?
Is it a v7 - V7 or v7 - 850 ?
Answered above. All E5 V7s are 853cc. They have discontinued the 749cc engine from what I see.

In spending a little more time looking at the images, and being critical… I personally dislike modern mufflers on vintage styled machines. Only advantage is that possibly no need to remove the left side to pull the rear wheel. I do not like drawing visual attention to shock springs, especially so on an all black model. The bar end mirrors are too much, and the speedo angle and headlight separation are terrible. All easily fixable with products I make. ;)
Upside is that Guzzi is really good with visual refinement, and this is another fun step. Now, if they would invest in hardware that doesn’t corrode after a few months, they’d be getting somewhere. Heh. My $.02.

Preaching to the choir again Todd! 😆

I’m not a bar end mirror guy at all and I would prefer black coil springs too.

Also, in today’s times, I detest a single rotor up front. I really like the symmetry of dual front discs. Single rotors look cheap to me.

Depends on the bar ends as far as I'm concerned. I have the motogadget mo.view road which are not visually obtrusive at all and have no glass to break either.

I’d like Moto Guzzi do a Racer, maybe with some tubeless spoke wheels, leather solo seat, 2-1 exhaust and loud paint job!
Funny, because I built that bike back in 2017. But no one wanted to pay for it. Heh. As shown below... 820cc, GTM 2-1, custom full Ohlins front end, upgraded full Brembo front brake components, Kineo wheels, leather seat. It was incredible. It was for sale for 3.5 years... and I had to undress it to nearly stock to sell it.
The Racer is the worst for all sales of V7s to date.

No, accounting for taste :wasntme:
That’s not really that Wild, just upgrades to quality parts !

Just thinking out loud - so it might not make sense…or be a bit off.
Some people might not be able to see the value in paying $5k - $7k more for a certain bike with those upgrades.
But you see people willing to pay tripple the stock price of the donors for something fully custom.

dammit Todd your too far away ! :D

Todds Racer is sweet, I'd buy it but im trying to figure out my V7 or dump it. Most kids now days flip out when they a Moto Guzzi, really they like the look but 200 hp and less than 450 lbs is the bench mark...
