Yes, the bike kept asking me for one every time I turned it on. I followed the instructions to attempt to add a key and I was able to get into that menu.
I'd like two keys with different chip codes if possible because it appears that will allow someone to reset the user code if necessary.
In order to do that, I need a chip with a different code on it and not a copied version of what I have, but finding that seems difficult, hence my inquiry if I should just look for a random used key and harvest the transponder out of that.
If I cannot do that, I will settle for getting AF1 to cut me another key off the one I just ordered and I will program what they send to me in order to get two different transponder codes stored into the bike, but I thought possibly there would be a way to do this that wasn't quite as expensive.
